About Plugged InN Entertainment

Plugged InN Entertainment is a creator-first entertainment company building an ecosystem where artists, filmmakers, musicians, entrepreneurs, brands and creative professionals can connect, collaborate and grow.

Our long-term vision includes original films, fictional series, documentaries, live events, branded content, talent development and creator-focused media.

We are currently producing Plugged InN: The Archives, a ten-episode cinematic short-form series telling the story behind the creation of Plugged InN through visually driven, emotionally engaging filmmaking.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Lead Cinematographer / Editor to become the primary visual storyteller behind Plugged InN: The Archives. This is more than a one-time freelance assignment — we are looking for a reliable creative partner who can help establish and maintain the visual identity of the series from Archive Log 001 through Archive Log 010.

You'll work directly with the Founder as the principal cinematographer and editor. Selected production interns may provide logistical and production support, but you will lead the professional filming, visual execution and post-production of each episode.

This is not a role within an existing cinematography department.

Production interns may assist with approved support duties including:

  • Preparing shot lists and production documents
  • Organizing equipment
  • Location coordination
  • Behind-the-scenes content
  • Production assistance
  • Managing releases and schedules
  • Carrying approved equipment
  • Helping maintain production flow

The interns will support the cinematographer, but the Lead Cinematographer remains responsible for the professional visual and technical execution of every episode.

The Creative Direction

The Archives are not filmed as a traditional vlog, interview program or reality series. The visual style is:

  • Dark
  • Cinematic
  • Mysterious
  • Emotional
  • Investigative
  • Urban
  • Analog-inspired
  • Shadow-driven
  • Atmospherically connected to New York City

The Founder appears predominantly through her shadow, silhouette, hands, reflections and partial profile. The Founder represents the original vision and should carry approximately 65–70% of the visual emphasis.

Josh appears in every episode and remains an important main character and partner in the vision. His visual presence should account for approximately 30–35% of the character-focused footage.

Neither person should be filmed as an influencer or presenter. Faces remain protected and largely concealed. New York City functions as a third character throughout the series.

Project Scope

  • 10 planned cinematic Archive Logs
  • Approximately five minutes per episode
  • Filming throughout New York City
  • Approximately one principal filming day per episode
  • Most filming days expected to last four to five hours
  • Detailed scripts and creative direction provided in advance
  • Shot lists and storyboards supplied before production
  • Founder and Josh are the only recurring on-camera figures
  • Limited production support from selected interns
  • Long-term creative collaboration preferred

Responsibilities

  • Film every episode using professional cinematic techniques
  • Translate written scripts and storyboards into strong visual sequences
  • Maintain consistent framing, lighting and visual language across all ten Logs
  • Film the Founder primarily through shadow and silhouette
  • Ensure the Founder remains the predominant figure without minimizing Josh's importance
  • Capture Josh as an active partner helping move the vision forward
  • Use New York City environments as meaningful visual evidence
  • Film bridges, tunnels, train stations, crosswalks, venue exteriors, streets and other connection motifs
  • Operate the primary camera and related equipment
  • Determine appropriate lenses, camera settings and stabilization
  • Perform professional editing
  • Complete color correction and cinematic color grading
  • Complete audio enhancement and sound design
  • Integrate the Archive Voice narration
  • Add cassette-inspired titles, graphics, timecodes and transitions
  • Maintain continuity between episodes
  • Organize and back up footage
  • Deliver final files in the agreed formats
  • Communicate consistently and meet production deadlines
  • Coordinate professionally with the Founder and assigned interns

Deliverables Per Episode

  • One approximately five-minute cinematic master episode
  • One 60-second trailer
  • Two promotional teaser edits
  • Five vertical social-media clips
  • High-resolution still frames from the footage
  • Clean master without captions when requested
  • Captioned social-media versions
  • Organized final project files
  • Color-graded final export
  • Professionally mixed audio
  • One reasonable revision round, with additional revisions handled per final agreement

Compensation

Flat rate
$1,200 per completed episode
Potential total contract value
$12,000 across 10 planned episodes

Payment is made following completion, approval and delivery of each episode and its agreed deliverables. The final written agreement will define deposit/scheduling payment (if negotiated), approval process, revision limits, delivery deadlines, ownership and usage rights, raw footage delivery, project-file delivery, cancellation and rescheduling terms, and equipment responsibilities.

  • Strong portfolio or cinematography reel
  • Documentary, narrative or cinematic filmmaking experience
  • Strong camera-operation skills
  • Professional understanding of lighting and composition
  • Experience creating mood through shadow and silhouette
  • Editing experience using Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro or comparable software
